10 Tips for Floral Photography

Flowers are a true gift of nature and are loved all over the world. They add beauty to this world and are very much colorful and beautiful. I can without any doubt say that there is not even a single person in this world who doesn’t want to enjoy the beauty of flowers and who doesn’t like this beautiful gift of nature. It is also very interesting that many people around the world like to take pictures of this beauty but at times they just get off the track and the pictures don’t turn out to be as good as expected. It is obvious that everything you do has a way and there are certain things you need to follow in order to take the pictures of flower. I will give you some tips after which you will easily be able to take the best pictures without any problem.

1. If you are interested in close up flower pictures, you need to buy a micro lens which will enable you to get the close up capture of the flower. It is essential that you buy it if you want quality pictures.

2. If you don’t want to buy a micro lens or you cannot afford it, then you can buy an extension tube, it will work in the same way but you just will not get the same quality.

3. Get the heaviest tripod you can find. It makes the picture still and avoids it from getting blur, so you need to go for the heaviest one in market if you want to get the perfect picture every time you snap.

4. In order to capture the flower and not it’s surrounding you need to get the telephoto lens. It’s a little expensive but it will enable you the catch the picture you desire and only of the beauty of the flower, nothing around it will be shown in the pictures. It also improves the picture quality and makes you job easier.

5. You need to switch off auto focus when capturing close up pictures of the flower. The depth of field is so narrow that auto focus will not be able to produce a good result.

6. You should rather take control than letting your camera decide, so capture pictures in manual control.

7. A bright and overcast day is perfect for flower photography. Too much sunshine is not good when taking pictures of flowers.

8. You should always use a reflector.

9. You shouldn’t rush to take the picture, you should take your time and only when you are satisfied, you should capture the image.

10. You need to choose the best view point in order to capture the best picture.
